“If you're not making someone else's life better, then you're wasting your time. Your life will become better by making other lives better.”

Cook a meal for your family. Look up a recipe online to try something new. Use the ingredients that you already have in the cupboards or fridge.

Write a letter to someone you know. Think of your family members or friends that might be feeling lonely. Include a photo or drawing and send it in the mail.

Bake cookies for a neighbour or friend. Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly before and during baking. Leave them on someone’s doorstep with a note.

Do some chores around the house. Ask how you can help. Learn how to do something new: laundry, lawn care, sweeping, dusting, tidying and organizing, etc.

Pick up litter. Go for a walk in your neighbourhood, or local shoreline. Wear a pair of gloves, bring a garbage bag and pick up all the garbage that you see.

Connect with someone. Think of someone that might be feeling lonely and reach out to them. A phone conversation or video chat can really brighten someone’s day!
